Chosen to release EP in September 2025
Chosen Wilkins' BLACKGAYAMERICAN EP will now release in September 2025. This will be volume one of a four-part music masterpiece. A provocative journey with dance, pop, soft-rock & soul.
Chosen is looking to revive the role previously played by comedian Chris Rock.
Chosen Wilkins seeks the role of his great-uncle, former Chief Executive of the NAACP, Roy Wilkins, in a biopic of the civil rights leader's life. Actor and comedian Chris Rock portrayed Roy Wilkins in the 2023 Netflix feature film "Rustin."
Chosen Drops Target as Sponsors
Chosen drops Target as a potential sponsor. The Spotlight singer slammed Target for scaling back on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and ending its programs to boost Black employee representation and promote Black-owned businesses. Though this is the first major sponsor for Wilkins. Wilkins feels that it would have "made me a supporter of their actions against my race and ultimately myself...it's bigger than receiving money to pay for a tour." Chosen was set to appear in ads and commercials online and on social media. The singer hopes to find another major sponsor for the tour before summer. Wilkins supports the Target boycott led by PastorJamal Bryant. -New York Daiy News
